OOTD: Menopause Edition

Menopause, Mood Swings & My OOTD

Good morning, friends. Today marks day 534 (?) of menopause, and since I don’t have a job at the moment, I figured… why not do an OOTD (Outfit of the Day) with you?

If the 20-somethings can rock their sorority rush looks, then I can certainly showcase the fine art of dressing for hot flashes, mood swings, and snack breaks.

Let’s get started.

The Top: Spiritual Gangster Tank

I’m wearing my Spiritual Gangster tank I got in an airport years ago — because sometimes, you need a reminder that you are, in fact, a goddess. Even if you woke up feeling more like a cranky troll.

If you look close, there are stains everywhere. I couldn’t find this exact one, but here’s something similar:

Stretchy Pants: ALO Leggings (and Dupes)

Stretchy enough to handle the aftermath of “emotional support snacking” all weekend, but still cute enough that people might assume I just came from yoga. Spoiler: I didn’t.

And honestly? For what I paid for these pants, you can buy this amazing dupe set—actually three pairs!

Glasses

Glasses: Prada + Modern Monocle

Even if life feels chaotic, at least my eyewear says “put together.” Prada frames paired with my Modern Monocle necklace = classy AND practical.

Because yes, I’d like to read the microscopic font on my supplement bottles without holding them 12 inches from my face, thank you.

Jewelry: Marriage & Menopause Warnings Included

Most of my jewelry is from my husband… though we almost got divorced this weekend because he messed with the air conditioner.

Pro tip: in menopause, you do not touch the thermostat unless you have a death wish.

Hair: L’Oréal Magic Root Cover Up

Grey streaks? What grey streaks? My L’Oréal Magic Root Cover Up buys me a couple of weeks between salon visits and keeps people guessing my actual age.

The Real MVPs

This entire look is brought to you by caffeine, ibuprofen, and sheer willpower—none of which are available on the runway, but all of which are essential to surviving a Monday in menopause.
